Having successfully finished the grueling and highly intensive Certificate III in Media course held and sponsored by 2BOB some years ago, Tess Spinks felt she needs a venue to put to good use all the skills she has acquired in the course.
Coupled with her desire to be a vital part in bringing the Philippines to the Filipinos in Australia, her entry into the world of the broadcast media via 2BOB Community Radio made it possible for Tess to connect its Filipino listeners to their heritage and culture, in part thru the Filipino music and the news in the Filipino language.
Tess Spinks hopes that as a presenter of the Filipino Hour, she can be a channel and an instrument in bringing joy in reliving fond memories of the lives left behind in the Philippines and in the process inspire its listeners to lead and have a better and brighter future in this lucky country we now call our home - Australia.
Tess considers her stint with 2BOB as a great privilege and an opportunity to reach-out and be of service not only to the culturally diverse region of the Manning Valley but more so to the Filipinos in and out of Australia thru the far reaching effect of the broadcast media, that’s 2BOB 104.7
