Hip Hop Down Under officially launched on April 9th 2010 and since then it has been bringing a different opinion of hip hop to the Manning Valley. With a personal library of 3000+ songs spanning over 20 years, Hip Hop Down Under presenter Dougo MC provides a diverse variety of Australian Hip-Hop spanning from easy listening and acoustic, to reggae and even hard rock. "Hip Hop in Australia has a stigma surrounding it suggesting that it is very violent and vile. Because of that a lot of people refuse to listen to it. 
I like to enlighten people that in Australia a lot of the artists like to use the phrase "keeping it real" when writing and you will hear in their songs that a lot of the lyrics are simple things like having a barbeque  with your mates" - Dougo.
